Magnolia Pediatrics does NOT use insurance for visits in the office. However, We DO TAKE HSA and FSA cards. We do NOT take the place of the insurance requirement based on the Affordable Health Care Act. It is highly recommended that you carry insurance for catastrophic events, prescriptions, labs, and imaging. However, you do not have to have a high premium plan anymore which will save you money in the long run and many prescriptions can go through GoodRx or similar cost savings programs. You can use an HSA to help with your monthly subscription. You will get a superbill every month that you may submit to your insurance as an out of network provider if you wish.

I do go out of town but I typically have coverage while out of town and let my patients know who to call and where to go. Often I continue to take my calls and texts and still do telemedicine while away. If I am unable to do so, I will have my covering provider see my sick patients and do triage.

I believe the relationship between patient/parent and doctor must be based on trust. That being said I will never tell you that you must do something. I am pro-vaccine and will only be accepting patients who have their school vaccines (does not include optional vaccines). If you choose to not vaccinate, we can discuss this but eventually, I would suggest finding a provider who has a better understanding of your goals.

I have partnered with a third party company that allows me to give immunizations through your insurance. I can also do adults as well so no need to run to the pharmacy for your flu shots. Again this is run through your insurance.

Payment is made on a monthly basis with either a credit card or bank account number. There are discounts for multiple children and a cap for families at $250. You can have a superbill and submit to your insurance as an Out of Network provider to use a claim. You may use HSA or FSA as a way to pay for your monthly fees.

This is made on a case by case basis, based on how busy the clinic day is and what the visit is for. Please inquire. Price will vary.

Almost everything is included. There are no extra fees for swabs, including strep, flu, rsv, covid; also urine dips, mono tests, vision, development are all part of your monthly fee. However, if a culture (urine or strep), blood work, imaging, a specialist, stitches, or a fracture treatment, this is not part of the monthly cost. I have arranged a lab fee to give you the best cash price but using insurance is appropriate as well. Medications are also a non covered entity. You again may use your insurance or use GoodRx or another cost savings program.

Unfortunately, at this time I cannot have patients who are Medicaid because in order to send in medications I would have to be a Medicaid ordering provider. My apologies.

You can hit the enroll link and fill out the form. Let’s set up a meet and greet to go over the patient agreement. I look forward to meeting you. In the meantime, please work on getting a copy of our medical records from your previous doctor.
